My Story

"It has been almost 20 years since my passion for cooking has taken me around France and beyond (including Corsica, Ireland, England). My journey has allowed me to taste and learn a wide variety of cuisines. In Corsica, for instance, I had the opportunity of working in a bio-vegetarian restaurant. My experiences there are still reflected in my interest in cooking vegetarian and vegan. 

 

In August 2018, I arrived in the Périgord Noir as a chef at L’Auberge de Meyrals, which obtained the prestigious status of "Maître Restaurateur”. I have recently started working as a private chef at home. I only work with fresh and high-quality products, preferably organic and locally produced.

 

My cooking ranges from traditional dishes from the Dordogne region, including honey thyme-lemon duck breast, to more contemporary ones, such as roast quail stuffed with prunes. I cook vegetarian and vegan dishes, such as vegetable korma, as well as gluten-free and lactose free. And, of course, I make delicious deserts, including my famous ‘Plaisir chocolat de Ludo’.

Ludo offers two menus: menu du jour and menu à la carte.

Menu du Jour 

Ludo will prepare and serve a three-course meal for your group. Please choose one starter, one main course and one dessert from the menu below for your entire group. If members of your group are vegetarian, vegan or have dietary requirements, such as gluten intolerance, please let us know and Ludo can serve a different meal for them.

Salmon filet in puff pastry with shallot cream sauce

Pork filet with figs & honey sauce or mustard sauce

Price

You pay around €20 per person for the food (you will receive a receipt of the groceries) plus an additional fee for the preparation and serving. Please note that the more evenings you book Ludo, the cheaper his fee will be:

 

1 evening: €320

2 evenings: €570

3 evenings: €770

4 evenings: €900

5 evenings: €1000

Example

If your group consists of 15 members and you wish to book Ludo for three nights, you pay 15 x 3 x €20 + €770 = €1670 (which comes down to €37 per person per evening). 

Menu à la Carte

Ludo will prepare a three-course, plated-service meal for your group, which will be presented to you by a waitress. Please choose one starter, one main course and one dessert from the menu below for your entire group. If members of your groups are vegetarian, vegan or have dietary requirements, such as gluten intolerance, please let us know and Ludo can serve a different meal for them.

Price

You pay between €20 and €40 per person for the food, depending on your choice (you will receive a receipt of the groceries), plus an additional fee for the preparation and serving. Please note that the more evenings you book Ludovic, the cheaper his fee will be:

 

1 evening: €415

2 evenings: €760

3 evenings: €1000

4 evenings: €1170

5 evenings: €1400

Example

When your group consists of 15 members and you wish to book Ludovic for three nights for à la carte meals and the average price per person for the groceries would be €30, you pay 15 x 3 x €30 + €1000 = €2350 (which comes down to €52 per person per evening). 

Cooking Classes

As part of the menu du jour and menu à la carte, Ludovic offers cooking classes for a maximum of four members of your group for €50. If you book him 3 evenings or more, he will provide you with a class for free.
