Step into the North Wing, the oldest and most character-rich part of the château. Featuring original stonework, a wooden staircase and a majestic fireplace, this wing exudes the authentic soul of the estate.

Here, you'll find five beautifully appointed bedrooms, including a spacious family room. The wing also offers a comfortable living room, perfect for gatherings or relaxed evenings, a sun-drenched terrace with forest views and elegant lounge seating, a formal dining room and the main kitchen. Adjacent to the main house, the conservatory offers a serene space to unwind while overlooking the french garden.

The 5 bedrooms in the North Wing

Chambre des Magnolias

The stunning Chambre des Magnolias is located in the northern tower of the North Wing. The spacious suite of 32m²/345sfq has panoramic views on all four sides, a super king-size bed and a separate seating area. Below Chambre des Magnolias is a luxurious bathroom with a double vanity unit, a separate shower cubicle and bath as well as a built-in dressing room of the same size as the bedroom above. Both the bedroom as well as the bathroom have air-conditioning and are accessed by turret stairs.

Chambre des Platanes

Chambre des Platanes oozes character with its original exposed beams and its quaint Périgourdian roof windows. The latter allow for amazing views of the garden on one side and the adjacent valley on the other. The room, which measures 30m²/325sqf, has a Super King-size bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, television as well as air conditioning. Platanes shares a large marble bathroom with separate shower cubicle and bath with the adjacent Chambres des Lauriers.

Chambre des Lauriers

Chambre des Lauriers is an elegant room with a vaulted roof and decorative wall mouldings of 34m²/365sqf. The room, which has two double beds, a large wardrobe and a chest of drawers, is located in-between Chambre des Platanes and Chambre des Rosiers and does not have its own separate entrance. As Chambre des Lauriers shares a large marble ensuite bathroom with Platanes, it is ideal as a children's room with the parents sleeping in the latter.

Chambre des Rosiers

Chambre des Rosiers, which is located in the southern tower of the North Wing, is tastefully decorated with original oil paintings and stylish furniture. Measuring 16m²/175sqf, the room has a King-size bed and a walk-in closet. Windows open up on two sides of the bedroom and provide awe-inspiring views of the garden. Rosiers has a marble ensuite bathroom with a bath/shower combination.

The North Wing’s principal living spaces

Living Room

On the ground floor of the North Wing, you will find the large 'rustic' living room with stone walls, exposed beams and an original seventeenth-century fireplace. The stylishly decorated room has spacious comfortable couches and armchairs, where you can relax and unwind. Open the double doors and you will have direct access to the sun terrace.

Sun Terrace

Château La Carrière has a delightful sun terrace, which measures over 20m/65ft in length. As it is located on the west-side of the building, you can enjoy the afternoon sun as well as awe-inspiring sunsets in the evening. You will find a large comfortable lounge set as well as rustic tables with chairs for lunch and dinner. There are parasols as well as a chiminea in case you would get cold in the evening.
